Creative perks that work

Our workshops create a space for your employees to play with new ideas, skills, and experiences that can make them more creative and productive every day.

We offer a thoughtful and targeted variety of workshops taught by professionals in their fields, including small-group guitar lessons, phone photography classes, and storytelling workshops.

guitar lessons

This workshop is specifically designed to alleviate stress and encourage team building. Accessible instruction taught by professional musicians makes learning guitar available for anyone, from the beginner to the experienced player, in small group sessions that highlight harmonies and simple chords. Without the stress of individual mastery, employees are able to focus on their contribution to the group's melody and recognize the value of teamwork.

This workshop is a great exercise for those high-stress, repetitive, and/or data-heavy jobs as it engages neural executive functioning without fatigue.

phone photography

This workshop is designed to help employees make better use of the most ubiquitous tool: the mobile phone camera. Professional photographers will teach workshop participants the basics of framing, light, color, and scale to help them take better photos at work and at home. Each workshop will cover a variety of photography styles, from food photography to portraiture and give participants an opportunity to experiment on site for immediate feedback.

This workshop is accessible to anyone with a camera phone, but is geared toward marketing and social media teams whose jobs would be made easier, or be elevated, by improved photography concepts and skills.

storytelling

This workshop is designed to encourage confidence in storytelling to elevate the written and spoken word. Our instructors approach storytelling from a variety of angles and principles - from improv and stand-up comedy to auteur cinema - to help participants understand structure, audience, and delivery. Each workshop will allow time for participants to practice their storytelling techniques for feedback.

This workshop is broadly accessible but may be of special interest to any teams whose responsibilities require communication of company values, brand messaging, or interdisciplinary collaboration.
